Come and hear one of the stars of the future, young Romanian pianist Cristiana Achim!

Bucharest-born pianist and educator Cristiana Achim, recognized as a standout talent, graduated with First Class Honours in 2022 from the Royal College of Music, London. Currently she is pursuing her Master of Performance under the tutelage of Nigel Clayton at the Royal College of Music where she is the recipient of various scholarships, including the C. Bechstein Scholarship, Help Musicians Postgraduate Awards and Talent Unlimited Charity.

Cristiana has been awarded the 2023 London Symphony Orchestra Conservatoire Scholarship, amplifying her musical studies with performing opportunities and mentorship throughout the 2023-2024 concert season.

A winner of numerous international music competitions, Cristiana was a semi-finalist in the 2023 Royal Overseas League Music Competition and the 3rd prize winner in the ‘Norah Sande Awards 2022’ (UK). She also won the Special Prize ‘Debut in Transylvania’ at the ‘Youth of Music 2021 International Competition’ (Romania) with a Recital Award.

An accomplished performer, Cristiana is often invited to perform in prestigious UK venues such as Queen Elizabeth Hall in London, Haddo Arts Festival in Scotland or Romanian Atheneum in Bucharest, showcasing her versatility in classical, jazz, and folk music. In 2019, she released three singles inspired by Romanian folk tunes.

A passionate advocate for education, Cristiana served as a Benedetti Foundation Music Ambassador, contributing to creative projects alongside violinist Nicola Benedetti.
